Module 5.2 · Topic 3

Multimodal Creation Workflows

Bottom Line: AI can create across modalities—text, images, audio, video—in a single workflow. By orchestrating multiple AI capabilities, you produce multimedia products that exceed what you could create alone. Success…

3.1 AI-Assisted Document and Presentation Creation

You need to create documents and presentations using AI to generate and structure content while maintaining editorial control and verifying accuracy.

  • Strategic Planning Document
    Thinking/Reasoner

Direct AI to analyze your company's market position, extract competitive insights from provided reports, and draft a three-year strategic plan. The AI synthesizes disparate sources into a coherent narrative. Afterward, you review for accuracy and alignment with board priorities.

I'm preparing a three-year strategic plan for a mid-market B2B software company. I'll provide: (1) our current market position and product roadmap, (2) analysis of three key competitors, (3) market trend data from Q4 2025. Using this, generate a 20-page strategic plan with sections on: market opportunity, competitive differentiation, revenue targets, product development priorities, and organizational requirements. Ensure all claims are traceable to the source documents I provided. Use professional business language. Highlight any areas where data is insufficient and note your assumptions.
  • Sales Presentation Outline
    Fast/Chat

Direct AI to create a presentation outline from a product overview document. The AI structures content into compelling narrative arc. You add speaker notes, refine messaging, and source images.

Convert this product overview into a 15-slide sales presentation outline. Each slide should have: (1) a one-sentence headline, (2) 3–4 bullet points for speaker notes, and (3) a visual concept (described in brackets, e.g., [Diagram showing workflow]). Order slides to move from problem, solution, benefits, proof points, call-to-action. Tailor messaging for sales engineers presenting to CIOs.
  • Compliance Documentation
    Deep Research

Direct AI to synthesize regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA excerpts you provide) into an internal compliance guideline. The AI cross-references regulations and identifies gaps in current practices. You review for regulatory accuracy and tailor to your operations.

Here are excerpts from GDPR, CCPA, and our industry's data handling regulations. Create a comprehensive data governance document for our 120-person consulting firm. Include: (1) data classification scheme, (2) retention policies by data type, (3) employee access controls, (4) incident reporting procedures, (5) vendor assessment checklist. Clearly cite which regulation drives each requirement. Flag any conflicts between regulations and suggest a prioritization.
  • Internal Communications Memo
    Fast/Chat

Direct AI to draft communication about organizational changes. Provide context (change scope, impact, timeline) and tone guidance. The AI generates a clear, empathetic memo. You personalize and sign off.

Draft an all-hands memo announcing a restructuring. Context: We're consolidating three departments into two, affecting 40 employees. 8 roles are eliminated; others are reassigned. New structure takes effect March 15. Severance and outplacement support will be provided. Tone: honest about challenges, clear about why this happens, supportive of affected staff. Length: 400–500 words.
  • Executive Summary from Long Report
    Thinking/Reasoner

Direct AI to distill a lengthy report (50+ pages) into a 2-page executive summary. The AI identifies key findings, assumptions, and recommendations. You verify the summary captures the report's essence and adjust messaging for your audience.

Read this 52-page market analysis report. Produce a 2-page executive summary with sections: (1) key findings (5 bullets), (2) market implications (3 bullets), (3) recommended actions (3 bullets), and (4) confidence assessment (which findings are high-confidence vs. speculative). Use the report's language and cite page numbers for each claim. Assume the reader is a busy VP who has not read the full report.
  • Content Audit and Refresh Plan
    Thinking/Reasoner

Direct AI to analyze your website's existing content (you provide URLs or text), assess freshness and accuracy, and recommend updates. The AI identifies outdated claims, missing topics, and restructuring opportunities. You prioritize and assign updates.

Here's an inventory of our website's main content pages. For each page, identify: (1) claims or statistics that appear outdated (use current knowledge cutoff as reference), (2) gaps compared to competitor websites in our category, (3) improvement opportunities (structure, clarity, calls-to-action). Produce a content audit matrix ranking pages by priority for refresh. Suggest one specific update for the highest-priority page.

3.2 Image, Audio, and Video Generation

You need to specify image, audio, or video content to AI generators and evaluate outputs for quality, accuracy, and appropriateness for your intended audience.

Image Generation

Describe the image you want: subject, style, composition, context. "A professional headshot of a woman in business attire, warm lighting, neutral background, smiling, suitable for a website about financial planning." The AI generates candidates. Evaluate for: accuracy to description, professional quality, suitability for your brand, no inconsistencies (all 10 fingers present, text is readable, objects match what you specified).

Video Generation

Describe the scene, shot sequence, and pacing. "A 30-second product demo showing a mobile app. Scene 1 (5 sec): Hand holding phone, app icon on home screen. Scene 2 (15 sec): Tap through key features, showing data input, processing, output display. Scene 3 (10 sec): Testimonial quote appears on screen over app background." Evaluate generated video for: continuity, clarity, pacing, visual appeal, brand consistency. Note that video generation is nascent; expect revisions.

Audio Generation and Deepfakes

Text-to-speech for voiceovers is mature and reliable. Generating voice that mimics a specific person (deepfake) is ethically and legally fraught. Many jurisdictions now require explicit consent and disclosure. Unless you have clear authorization, avoid generating synthetic speech imitating real individuals.

Copyright and Attribution in Generated Media

Images, video, and audio generators train on copyrighted material. Verify that your generated outputs do not closely resemble copyrighted works. If generated content includes text or identifiable people, ensure you have the right to use and modify it. When in doubt, request a legal review before publishing.
